College Gets The LEED Gold

Ann Arbor, MI — The Washtenaw Community College Health & Fitness Center in Ann Arbor, MI, has received gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Program. The Health & Fitness Center, designed by Denver-based Ohlson Lavoie Collaborative (OLC), opened in September with a long list of environmentally friendly features that had led the OLC team to anticipate the LEED gold distinction. The U.S. Green Building Council has awarded gold certification to 461 buildings since the program began in 2000.
