Fort Drum Soldier Dies During Physical Fitness Training

FORT DRUM, NY -- A Fort Drum, NY, soldier collapsed during physical fitness training and later died at the Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY, on Nov. 20. The cause of death is under investigation, according to a statement from the Army.

James Weber was assigned to the Division Special Troops Battalion and served as a forward observer. The 25-year-old entered the Army in February 2007 and completed his basic and advanced training at Fort Sill, OK. He was assigned to Fort Drum in July 2007.
