Club One Partners with Silver Creek Sportsplex for New Center

SAN FRANCISCO -- Pre-sale memberships are underway for Club One Inc.’s newest fitness center set to open June 2007. Located in the Silver Creek community just south of San Jose, CA, the 60,000-square-foot fitness club marks Club One’s fifth edition to the South Bay, CA, area. The center will be located in the 200,000 square-foot Silver Creek Sportsplex, a family sports facility featuring in-line hockey rinks, soccer fields, restaurants and retail space.

“We’re proud to welcome Club One to the Silver Creek Sportsplex family,” says David Maley, general manager of Silver Creek Sportsplex. “Club One brings industry expertise, exceptional management and innovative fitness and wellness solutions to our sportsplex community. Together, we’re thrilled to offer the first and largest destination family sports facility to the Bay Area.”

Architectural firm Gensler Inc. worked with Club One’s design and development team to build the fitness center.

“Creating an inviting home away from home with our members’ lifestyles in mind was paramount,” says Paul Atkins, project director for Club One. “So we designed a club that evokes the fitness spirit and yet maintains organic and spacious beauty. From the calming spa and the many member lounge areas to the abundant second floor windows overlooking the beautiful Silver Creek community, our members will feel welcomed with open arms.”

The Silver Creek location will feature an 8,000-square foot childcare center, two swimming pools (one for lessons and the other for laps), Internet kiosks, family locker rooms, and cardio and strength training equipment, each with individual television monitors. The facility also features four group fitness studios designed specifically for Pilates, Somatics, Kinesis™ and Spinning®, and a club spa that offers skincare and massage services.
